You’re Ready to Build Something Great
hi mamas,
Starting a business as a mompreneur has been one of the most empowering decisions I have ever made. I never imagined becoming an entrepreneur, but when I launched my bookkeeping business everything changed. That one leap turned into a passion not just for numbers, but for helping other moms turn their ideas into income. If you have ever dreamed about starting a small business from home, this post is for you.
When Life Lifes, We Realign
I will be honest, this past week has been a whirlwind. A major curveball hit, and my plans for this blog went out the window. But as moms, we do what we do best, we adjust, refocus, and keep moving. So instead of skipping this week, I went to my favorite patio set, sipped on some sparkling water, and decided to go back to the basics for anyone thinking about starting a business in motherhood.
Because the truth is, sometimes the back to basics approach is exactly what you need to take that next step.
The Beginning: Turning an Idea into Action
When I first started dreaming about launching my business in 2025, I began where most of us do, with a name and a logo. I was obsessed. It felt real the moment I saw my vision come to life on paper… well technically a computer screen! Fast forward a few months, and now I am not only running a bookkeeping business but also building this space, Cash Flow Mama, for other moms ready to create something meaningful.
This journey has also led to some incredible collaborations. One of my closest friends launched her own fitness business, creating a community of women who inspire and empower each other, and I got to help her design her website. That experience made me realize how much I love helping other women bring their dreams online and how much I loved creating websites.
If you, or someone you know, is interested in getting help with creating a website, then I would love to be considered. I especially love building on Squarespace because it offers the perfect mix of creative freedom and clean structure. I am also currently looking to collaborate on one more Squarespace project to qualify for their Circle Member Program, which provides extended client trials and exclusive design tools.
If you have been dreaming of launching or refreshing your site, this could be a great opportunity for us to work together. I am open to exploring other platforms too, but Squarespace holds a special place in my heart for how effortlessly it helps small business owners bring their vision to life. Reach ouch today if you or someone you know is interested.
Why Cash Flow Mama Exists
Let’s be real, starting a business can be expensive and time consuming. From licenses and marketing to bookkeeping and website setup, it adds up fast. That is why I created Cash Flow Mama, to make starting a business affordable, approachable, and easy to navigate.
Here, you will find the same financial clarity tools I use with my clients, simplified for DIY use. Think bookkeeping checklists, expense trackers, and (hopefully soon) Squarespace templates designed specifically for small business owners. These templates will help new entrepreneurs launch professional, functional websites without the stress of coding or custom builds.
If you are not sure where to start with your business finances, I always recommend beginning with clarity. Before you jump into accounting software or hire support, take a look at my blog post on financial clarity. It breaks down why tracking your numbers matters and how even simple monthly habits can change the way you run your business.
This is also where the Cash Flow Pro Expense Tracker comes in. It gives you a simple way to track your business income and expenses from day one so you never feel like you are guessing. It helps you separate your business and personal spending, stay organized for tax season, and build strong money habits before you ever invest in software. It is the tool I wish I had when I launched my business.
